Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Course - Sep 2026

Owners and Managers should consider this certified program to their maintenance staff. If your property has a pool, risk and liabilities are higher. Minimize those risks by having a certified pool operator in charge of your pool maintenance. This intense two-day course has a limited classroom size, so you will want to get your reservation in early. The cost of the class will include your textbook, exam fees and 5-year certificate. Minimum of 10 students or class may be rescheduled.

Course Information - 

•The CPO® certification program requires participation in a two-day class taught by a certified instructor.
•The CPO® certification program includes pool and spa chemistry, testing, treatment, filtration, maintenance, automatic feeding equipment, and government requirements.
•The CPO® certification program requires an open book written examination.
•The CPO® certification is valid for five years.

Instructor: Rick Stewart

Rick has been in the swimming pool business since 1973. In that time, he has worked in distribution, as a manufacturer’s representative, and most recently, in hands-on maintenance with a specialty in pool and spa heating equipment. He has been teaching the CPO course since 1980.

Rooted in a belief that learning should be fun, Rick has tailored a series of classes that will present pool safety, maintenance, and function through a dynamic and fun learning experience. Throughout the last 30 years as an instructor, Rick has had the opportunity to help thousands of students across the United States obtain their CPO certification.
