Greccio housing unlimited -

  • Eviction Prevention Program
    • Eligibility Criteria:
      • People who earn 80% or less of the Area Median Income
      • Those who have lost their income due to the pandemic and the hosehold is an arrears with their rental payments
      • Other qualifications and requirements apply. Enrollment is limited.
    • Assistance Provided:
      • Participants may receive up to three months of attenuated financial assistance and case management

catholic charities - 

Catholic Charities offers a variety of grants for assistance. All persons seeking rent assistance must:

  • be listed on the rental/lease agreement
  • provide infromation on total income
  • have landlord complete the Landlord Verification Form (this form will be received from Catholic Charities after initial conversation)
  • live within El Paso County

**Other criteria may apply depending on funding sources.

(dola): emergency rental assistance for residents -

Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) - 

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • You were unable to pay your rent or mobile home lot rent because you experienced financial need due to COVID-19.
    • Your household monthly income is at or below the maximum income listed here
    • You have not already received rental assistance that covered your rent. 
    • You complete the application for assistance and provide all of the needed documentation.  
    • Other qualifications and documentation required will be explained by the agency you work with to access the funds.
    • EHAP can also be used for mortgage assistance for qualifying homeowners.

(dola): emergency rental assistance for landlords -

Property Owner Preservation (POP) Program -
This program is for landlords and property owners applying for assistance on behalf of their residents only. Residents/Tenants are NOT eligible to apply for this program.

  • Eligbility Criteria:
    • Your tenants complete the Colorado Declaration of Need or the CDC Declaration Form attesting to their need for rental assistance.
    • The rent for the unit for which assistance is requested is set at or below the POP maximum rent listed below (POP Maximum Rents). All reasonable mobile home lot rents qualify. Reasonable fees and living expenses described in the lease may be reimbursed, excluding late fees, legal fees and fees charged for returned payments due to insufficient funds. Units or tenants supported with a housing voucher are not eligible.
    • You may apply for rent in arrears back to March 1, 2020. Rent is considered in arrears on or after the 5th of the month. (For example, you can apply for October rent on or after October 5th.
    • You may make a request on behalf of a tenant multiple times, as long as funding still is available and the tenant still has need.
    • The rental unit or mobile home park meets basic health and safety requirements. Self certification is required.
    • Your property is not in foreclosure (if it is, a receivership has been established by the courts) and your state and local real estate taxes have been paid.
    • You agree to all program requirements and provide the proper documentation. Full program guidelines can be found below.

Family Promise of Colorado - 

Shelter Prevention & Diversion Program - 

  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Families with minor children or expecting in the last trimester
    • Families with adult disabled children
    • Head of Household (HoH) consents to referral
    • HoH agrees to 3 months of step-down case management
    • HoH agrees to provide: Lease, ID, 10-day demand (when appropriate), proof of children & proof of income.
  • Referral Sources/Times:
    • CoC Agencies, School Counselors, McKinney-Vento Liasions, El Paso Country DHS & Landlords
    • Referrals are accepted 24/7 via email and phone, but processed Mon - Fri (9am - 6pm)
    • Referral Form is required to be submitted
