Event Details
This Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) required training to be provided to maintenance and custodial personnel that work in areas where Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) are present.
These training sessions include, but are not limited to, the following elements:
- Health effects of Asbestos
- Review of where possible ACMs could be in the facility
- Recognition of ACM damage and deterioration
- EPA/OSHA requirements related to housekeeping
- The proper response to Asbestos releases

| 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM | Asbestos Awareness (For Office Personnel) Must have 10 students or this portion will be cancelled |
| 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM | 8hr O&M Refresher Those attending this session must already hold the 16hr certification. This refresher is required yearly to maintain Asbestos Certificate. |
| 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM | 16hr O&M OSHA Certificate |
