Professional Bio

Ms. Curtis joined AASC in August 2022 as Office Coordinator and transitioned into the role of Marketing and Communications Manager in 2023. In this role, she leads the association’s marketing, communications, and branding efforts, playing a key role in strengthening member engagement and expanding organizational visibility.

Maria oversees strategic marketing planning, content development, and multi platform communications, ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment across all channels. She manages email marketing, social media, campaign promotions, and event communications, while supporting major programs and initiatives through clear, member focused messaging. She collaborates closely with leadership, internal teams, and partners to translate complex information into accessible and compelling communications that support the association’s mission and goals.

A graduate of San Jose State University, Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management. She has worked in the hospitality industry since 2007, bringing experience from both small businesses and multinational organizations. Her background in event management and customer engagement informs her strategic approach to communications and audience connection.

Maria relocated to Colorado Springs from California in 2022 with her husband and young daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new hobbies and discovering local restaurants.
