HEAR what some of your fellow AASC members have to say:

"The Apartment Association of Southern Colorado offers so much for their members and community.  The encouragement and support they offer through MUMS - (Members using Members) and networking events allow all members to come together as a community and work with each other in the multi-family industry.  The education that is offered to both employees of multi-family properties and vendors is a integral part of helping our industry to grow and become experts in our field. There are so many opportunities to meet new people and have professional growth with AASC, which is why I am member of this great organization."

-Kerry Egelston, Senior Vice President with Griffis/Blessing, Inc.

“Over the 10 years I have been involved in the Apartment Association of Southern Colorado, it has proven to be the best opportunity to meet people in the Apartment Industry.  The networking and subsequent relationships I’ve gained would not be possible without the opportunities to volunteer on committees, or  to attend events and classes.

Through my involvement with AASC, I have increased my company sales, advanced personal growth, specifically in leadership development, and also learned how to better engage the local industry and our community. Without AASC I would not have the support, knowledge, or connections that being a member has provided me.”

- Beckie Mellen, Project Manager with Arlun, Inc.

"As an independent rental owner, I began owning and self-managing my small portfolio after a 30 year career in corporate America.  While Property Management might seem simple and straightforward on the surface, there’s so much more than meets the eye!  I was lucky enough to spot a course called “Intro to Property Management” where I learned, more than anything else, that I didn’t even know what I needed to know.  The course was one of the many offered by the Apartment Association of Southern Colorado so one of my better early decisions was to join the association.  While I initially joined for the education, I quickly learned that networking with my peers and like-minded property managers was equally valuable.

Then, the more I attended association events, the more I became involved in the legislative advocacy of advancing responsible laws for our industry.  And, oh yes, I was urged to join the association leadership, sat on the board, and served two terms as association president.  So, you might say, I was able to give back to the association and the industry in thanks for the many ways I personally benefited from all the association did for me.  It’s been a totally rewarding journey, without a doubt, to which my business prosperity and personal relationships can attest."

- Dana Lowry, Owner of Grand West Properties
