LEAD BASE PAINT RRP CERTIFICATION (8HR & 4HR REFRESHER) EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule was signed April 2008 and will impact your property management practices in important ways. The rule requires landlords and property managers who disturb paint in pre-1978 structures to be certified and follow lead-safe work practices or to hire certified firms to follow lead-safe work practices. O&M Asbestos Certification (16hr Certification, 4hr Refresher, 2hr Awareness) The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates Asbestos training by all personnel where asbestos containing materials (ACMs) are present. This training includes recognition of ACMs, health effects, EPA/OSHA requirements related to housekeeping, asbestos releases, and other details regarding asbestos containing material. Office personnel and maintenance MUST HAVE this training annually.
